That says nothing, "taller than I" for example also soundsl like bullcrap, yet that is correct, and "taller than me" is not.

Actually, no.
If you say 'Tim is taller than me' that's correct, since you need to use a object pronoun, not a subject pronoun ('i') for that situation.
People keep trying to put english grammar rules on 'me neither' and 'me either' but that's just silly, it doesn't apply since it's slang. It's not proper english, either is fine since it's conversation english. Both are wrong to put in an exam or something.
Edit: Just realised the thread heading is spelt wrong![]()

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

Well said, Seygon.
Silly? Just because you disagree, it doesn't make it silly. :-[
"I'm" and many other simple word(combination)s which used to be slang became correct English through time. "Me neither" isn't officially correct English, however it's accepted as informal English. I don't think anyone would be surprised if it eventually becomes correct English.
And as I mentioned before, to use "either" in a negative sentence you need a negative verb form. That's why people say "me either" sounds so wrong. So if one's to choose between the two of them, "me neither" would be more correct. Not correct (yet). But more correct.
This has already been mentioned before.

My sis in law studied British English and has her master degrees.
I'll ask her and won't tell her why. :p That would be awkward.

All I've learned from four pages of replies is that people care too much about words like 'either' and 'neither'.
Give me my 10 minutes back.
