I've started to work out, because my compulsory military service starts on next summer. My body is at very bad condition and I'd like to look a little better. I'm not fat, but I'd like to have more muscle. And the third reason why I've started to work out is that it's also good for your health (oh r'ly).
I'm improving my muscle condition by training jujutsu twice a week. I'm also running once a week and walking now and then. When training my muscles I actually like to push it to the limits, because the feeling of success after that is amazing and worths that. I also like jogging, especially when I'm stressed. It has also been proven by numerous research that working out is good for mentality.

I'm an 'A-tier' man. :<
I was thinking to stay at army for 12 months but many people have said the extra training there has no practical use when seeking a job, so no thanks! I was actually interested in military police training, but my future's plan is not to work at security business. Six months of crap, but oh well. I'm just going to improve my condition there.

What ever you are going to work in the future, I recommend you to do any sport, the most you like.
I had a very bad condition aswell 2 years ago, I was thin without muscles, so I decided to join in a GYM. It was very frustant at the start seeing people 10x stronger than you but the only thing you need is persistence.
The other very important part, and the harder to be honest, is the feed. I had to change that completly and eat things I did never eat before, way more amount and more times (5 times/day).
What you said about being good for mental is pretty true, after studying there's nothing better than to do sport, makes you feel like new.
Don't despair if you don't see changes in your body or something, it takes time but it will come, maybe not in 3 months but in 1 year you wont want to be like at the start.
I'm sure that Fede can tell you way more about it, he's the TANK MAN. I'll show you how my arms are now.

I have started working out too, (but since I'm only 17 I'm training musclestrength instead of mass, which I have lately done a bit), a few months ago, and I know pretty much anything you want to know about how it works.
I bought a 'machine' to work out, it's like the ones at the gym only those are like 2k euros each, and only for one excersice, while this is for the whole body and much cheaper, I have dumbells as well (u dunno dumbells: they're weights with a bar and weights at both ends, which you can alternate)
Tell me how you'd like to work out: you wanna become strong or have big muscles; would you be willing to take eggwhites or even heavier additives (I don't use them because they're not really good for your body <understatement, but they do help and will speed up the process).
Some advice to give you right away: it really helps if you have a healthy and rich diet!
Eating lots of eggwhites (fish etc) will help you build up muscles better, eating low-sugar & fat will also help alot, you have to eat more calories tho, because you'll burn alot. Try to eat alot of fibres aswel (dark bread, smoothies etc).
As I said, tell me how you'd like to work out and I'd be more than happy to help you, as I have so much free time in my final year at highschool! (that's strangely not sarcastic)

You can also buy "protein powder" (donno what it's called) and "carbonhydrate powder" ( or something like that) which you mix with water/milk and drink if you cba to eat 'til you explode.
It's really nice and cheaper than buying those super expensive protein shakes (which are usually worse).

No Mio.. For gain muscles you need to eat natural proteins.. like tuna or codfish
I eat around 7-10 cans of tuna per day + 2 protein shakes.. But that's only becouse I have been training
at gym during a lot of time.
I always recomend only ONE thing.. Train as hard as you can, experiment with your body.. Force your body to the max
during 2-4 months.. And then, seeing the results, start to take extra stuffs like proteins, amino acids, caffeine and training packs..
But first, you need to know how your body works..
Btw.. Can you tell us how tall are you and your weight?
@Victor : 17 years old? IMO you started too soon...

Well at the moment I'm training jujutsu twice a week. We do a lot of muscle exercises along with techniques. Once a week I'm jogging 30 minutes and walk 40 minutes everyday.
My nutrion is kinda simple. At breakfast I usually eat a plate of porridge with berries and milk. At lunch and dinner I usually eat whatever I feel like, anything that includes enough carbohydrates. On the night I always eat a can of tuna, a package of cottage cheese and one banana. My secret temptation is eating a pizza once a week.
My target is to gain muscle strength and flexibity, because in jujutsu those attributes are more than required. My weight is 82 kg at the moment and my target is 75 kg. My height is 179 cm.
Well... then do you masturbate by using your both hands? :LOriginally Posted by PuSy_WaGoN

I don't really work out, but I just do push-ups/sit-ups before I go to sleep, and when I wake up. It's not as effective as working out in the gym, but it helps "staying in shape" (not that I have one :p )
