Nobody besides from the admins can post here, can this be fixxed or do we have to wait till after the big maintenance ^^?

My Rakion Timeline

Hello, after discussing it with my brother and seeing some old screenshots I've decided to make a new type of post, a timeline, aka the story of the time I've spent in Rakion.
I hope this will make more people think about doing the same :-)

The beginning
-I've started playing Rakion when I was 14. My brother Pasc showed the game to me and I immediately loved it.
-My first character was a warrior, Lord_Iltrix, and it's still the same character as my current main (!). I had my first power user at lvl 25. At that level, I made a clan, DarkLords, which became one of the most crowded clans (we had around 90 members).

The meeting (4Y ago)
-Increasing level was really long at that time. And there was only a few high levels; I remember the most powerful clans at that time: SanctuS, EternalFaith. There wasn't even a clanchat, so you had almost no contact with the other members!
-I met while playing a golem war an impressive warrior, BoA from SanctuS. We were getting along well and I asked him to teach me how to play warrior in TvT.
And then he started teaching me. We had really A LOT of training sessions, and I enjoyed it very much.
I remember calling him "Master" "Master" all the time! Thanks to him, I reached a good level of skills; at least enough to play TvT.
-Starting playing TvT around level 50 - at that time, it was most likely chaos-allowed SH, SU or SD - I started meeting most of the ancient "NSE" community: Edomae, StarFightNr1, Fatalityy, TheSucker, Erosennin, tonedtokill, Griffith~~, Hoshizora ...~~

Growing stronger (3Y ago)
-Around that time, and after trying to join some clans which I didn't like (I don't even remember them!), [Forsaken] was made, and it became crowded (30 members) very fast.
At that time, the most powerful clans were Tensei, Pravus (which was made some months before), and a bit later, . [Forsaken] was a big clan, a lot of fun happened. I was friend there with StarFightNr1, and we were called something like "the deadly duo"...

-But as every clan with too many members, [Forsaken]'s members got spread. Some players made a new clan, Prada, some joined the current top clans, and some others, like me, joined Eternity, which was pretty famous back then, having the awesome TheSucker in their lines.

The merging (2Y ago)
-After some time, Eternity couldn't stand more - TheSucker left for Pravus, Yashor quit the game - and was really inactive. I had the idea, after discussing with Frost, master of CronoX, another clan falling apart, of merging Eternity and CronoX into EternoX.
This idea worked really well, and the fused clans made a brand new one, very active.

-Although EternoX could stand for almost one year, some problems showed up in the end, with people leaving because of the repetitive loses of the clan. The motivation we started with disappeared, and myself I left and joined Praeda. I met really nice people in there, and felt like my skills on warrior were increasing, playing with Paron, we were the "motto", another great warrior duo after the one I made with StarFightNr1.

-However, after having an arguement with Mutanto, I left Praeda and joined Pravus.
I changed name to Amagawa around that time. I was allowed to play on StarFightNr1, he had quit the game by that time, and my warrior was really low-statted compared to most players.

Alternative story (2Y ago)
-By that time I was barely playing RIS, like many players, and I was more into BDRS, with the extremely enjoyable map editor, fair stats, full NSE. It's around that time that I started playing ninja, known as Lenneth, and we had a topclan on BDRS, Valhalla.

The sin (2Y ago)
-On RIS, I was searching for power more than anything. Extermely addicted, every single special point was something awesome to me, because I wanted the strongest special - no one, or almost no one, was capped back then. I reached high enchants with the event core giving events, and only my sword and dagger were low enchanted. I remember asking TheSucker "What if I'd take StarFightNr1's sword? He doesn't play anymore, anyway", and he answered me "You should ask him beforehand then".
Stupid as I was, I took the sword and dagger of StarFightNr1, without asking. Yes, I scammed. This is one of the worst things I've ever done, since StarFight was really a friend to me, and we had spent really precious times together in [Forsaken].
-"My Rakion time is done" I thought, and felt extremely bad for a long, long period. I gave all my precious equipment to my brother, and eventually got scammed by Mushra, even though I learned it only recently!

Atonement (1Y ago)
-I stopped playing for more than one year. Then last year, I heard they were giving free cane +15. I couldn't resist and came back.
The first weeks were really hard. It was a new generation of players, and a lot of old players didn't really like me because of what I did.
After some time, I joined Lotus. It was merely a clan emerging from the low level games, and had some extremely skilled players in it: Flazsh, Milk, Atomos...

-I then changed to ninja, and grew stronger really fast. I noticed the limits of warrior, and that a ninja could do much more, if used properly.

Epilogue
-Lotus was extemely fun. I started leading it, and we became a topclan after hard training. Our peak happened in 2011 summer. We were really active, and powerful.
After courses start again, we had problems of inactivity. Most people had left, so did I. and then, I joined Praeda again, on ninja this time. This is where I'm currently.
I changed recently my name to (Sakuya), the goddess of flowers in japanese mythology.
And Rakion, even though it's a game, always was really important to me. This is why I made this timeline, to never lose the moments I shared with everyone =)

Standard Solutions?

Lately I've been thinking about people posting problems they are having with Rakion and their PC/Laptop.

Maybe we should Sticky a topic with Standard Solutions for problems with Connections, Graphic problems and Program Damage.
In that way people do not have to post something in Q&A everytime the Launcher fails to load, the serverlist is empty or their Rakion Client is damaged.
Of course they could scroll down and search topics in the Q&A, but people are kinda lazy by nature :tongue:

I've made a simple format (some sort of check-list) with all the solutions I know. I'm not a big pc-geek so most likely a lot of simple solutions are missing please submit them :D

Rakion Standard Solutions:

1. Connection Problems
If you experience problems connection to Rakion (e.g. no connection to Auto-Download Server, Empty Server List, etc.)
2. Program Damage
If you experience problems with booting Rakion or Rakion says files are damaged or missing.
3. Graphical Problems
If you experience playing Rakion due to a black screen, a blurry screen or Rakion won't boot at all.

For all Problems:

Try rebooting your system.

Try plugging cables out and in again, make sure all cables are connected.

Make sure you have a good and open internet connection using either cable or wireless. (Forwarding your port might help!)

Make sure your pc/laptop is up-to-date.

1. Connection Problems:

Once again make sure all network-cables are connected or your wireless connection is turned on.

Make sure your router is turned on, is up-to-date and working properly.

Try rebooting your router.

Check if there is any maintenance or a network-failure at your internet-company.

Check your Windows-firewall if Rakion is allowed.
(Control Panel/Security/Firewall)

Check your Anti-Virus if Rakion is allowed
(Anti-Virus options/network (or similar))

Check your Routers firewall
(Still need a template)

If you have any more Standard Solutions please submit them!

2. Program Damage

Try the "recover" option in the Softnyx Game Launcher.

Check if you have installed any new programs that might have collided with Rakion.

Try re-installing Rakion
(Make sure you delete the folder C:/Program Files/.../Softnyx/RakionIS
Delete the register-values of Rakion using a program like CCleaner)

3. Graphic Problems

Make sure your pc/laptop meets the system requirements of Rakion
Note: Rakion will not work with TNT, Intel, Rage and Matrox Graphic Cards.

Some laptops have the possibility to switch between an on-board graphic card and a more powerful graphic card. Make sure you have the right settings.

Make sure your resolution is set on the right size
Go to the Softnyx Game Launcher options and try selecting a different resolution,
Or go to C:/Program Files/.../Softnyx/RakionIS/Scripts and open PersistentSymbols.ini
(Windows Vista and 7 users might have to copy this file to another location change it there, save it and return it again.)
Search for the values:
persistent extern INDEX m_pixScreenWidth=(INDEX)1024;
persistent extern INDEX m_pixScreenHeight=(INDEX)768;
Change the numbers to match your resolution.

If you experience a black screen check the box in the Softnyx Game Launcher options.

If you experience a blurry screen or weird graphic distortions, make sure your graphic card drivers are up-to-date.
Most of the time you can change your settings using the graphic card control panel (most of the time located at the right side of your task-bar)
Try changing the setting between maximum performance and maximum quality.

Advance Class

Does anyone knows if Advance Class give you more stats? since we have advance armor as default now when advanced?
